She teaches philosophy of art at the Beaux Arts de Paris and at the \u00c9cole Normale Sup\u00e9rieure, with research focusing primarily on Japanese cinema and contemporary art. Her publications include L\u2019\u0153il et l\u2019objectif (2012), Akira Kurosawa, les Sept samoura\u00efs (2013), L\u2019attrait des fant\u00f4mes (2019), and Le Japon en 2.5D (to be published in 2026). She has conducted research stays at Waseda University, the University of Tokyo, Tokyo University of the Arts, and the Nichibunken in Kyoto, spending over seven years in Japan.<br>The new book<a href=\"https:\/\/www.editions-conference.fr\/products\/je-ne-suis-pas-un-yakuza\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" class=\"inline opacity\" style=\"border-bottom:1px solid #003BFF;\">JE NE SUIS PAS UN YAKUZA (I\u2019m Not a Yakuza) <\/a>\uff08\u00c9ditions Conf\u00e9rence\uff09is a 111-page collection of 31 short essays. Located on the coast of Kagoshima Prefecture, it was founded in 1883 and has produced traditional alcohol, mainly shochu, ever since. In 1957, the second-generation Kanosuke Komasa created the first barrel-aged shochu.
