\r\n I pulled that Kimono I wore for my coming-of-age ceremony out of storage.
It had been quite some time.
Bemused, I felt I hadn\u2019t reached adulthood just yet.
But there I was,\r\n applauding my close friend at her wedding on a spring day.
That was me at twenty-nine years of age.\r\n <\/p>\r\n

\r\n The mirror reflected my gaze.
I was looking straight into the mirror when someone approached and said, \u201cit\u2019s time.\u201d
Two of us, leaning against each other to bolster our courage,\r\n walked down the aisle together.
I giggled nervously at the serious face of my mother as she adjusted the obi around my waist.
